Join us for a fabulous four-day festival showcasing over 30 wineries from North Carolina and beyond. Among the many events are wine tastings, Fire on the Rock Chef’s Challenge, a patrons gala, wine pairing seminars, amateur and professional winemakers competitions, cooking classes, a gallery stroll and winemakers dinners.

MerleFest was founded in 1988 in Memory of Eddy Merle Watson as a fundraiser for Wilkes Community College and to celebrate “traditional plus” music taking place April 26-29, 2012.

The Christmas Trees Farms have already started preparing for the Holiday Season. Come visit the tree farms and share the tradition of getting a fresh cut Frasier Fur Tree for Christmas. We would be happy to package in the cost of the tree with your stay. Let us know and we can arrange this.

Sugar Ski Mountain is now Open!! North Carolina has the highest mountains east of the Rockies and caters to skiers of all abilities. Sugar Mountain is the largest ski area in North Carolina by about 20 acres (total of 115 acres of skiable terrain). For a complete overview visit www.skisugar.com
